This will be an extended driving tour for those who like to drive on scenic curvy roads with numerous vertical elevation changes. The route takes us through the Hoosier National Forest and then along the Ohio River banks before turning back towards the town of Jasper, IN, and the authentic Schnitzelbank German Restaurant. This restaurant is a well-known landmark in Jasper and has evolved into a destination, giving patrons an opportunity to dine in an "Olde World" ambiance.
The Schnitzelbank offers a delicious variety of authentic German food and participants will choose from several lunch options during registration.
The menu changes daily, so be prepared to choose what you'd like when you register for this tour.
Lunch Options: There are three types of lunch options: plated, sandwich platter, or soup and salad bar.
- Tuesday, the plated option is BBQ pork loin or Roast Beef, hot German potato salad, baked beans, and coleslaw;
- Wednesday, the plated option is Meat Loaf or Roast Beef, mashed potatoes, corn, and vinaigrette salad
- Thursday plated is Fried Chicken or Roast Beef, dressing, peas and carrots, and Jell-O;
- Friday's plated option is fried or baked Cod, German fries, and coleslaw
Unlimited refills on coffee, tea, or soft drinks are included.
